DFA MEDIATION
Terms & Conditions
If the referring organisation is unsure about how appropriate a case is for mediation, then they should contact DFA Mediation for a general discussion about the case.
Referring organisations shall ensure that they have established parties’ permission to share confidential information with a third party, as well as explaining the concept of mediation to parties.
Venues for conference mediation and any translation services or critical support services, shall be arranged by the referring organisation, in consultation with DFA Mediation. Venue costs related to any mediation, translation services or other critical support services will be borne by the referring organisation.
DFA Mediation commits to commencement of contact with parties within 2 working days of receipt of referral, and to the submission of a Mediation Outcome (usually by letter) to the referring organisation immediately following the mediation.
All mediation referrals sent are subject to the DFA Mediation Schedule of Fees (please contact DFA Mediation for further information), or will be as per any existing client contract. Fees are payable in full within 28 days of the date of the mediation taking place.
Referring organisations should have assessed the risk in terms of the case being at a safe level, in the referring organisation’s experience, for attendance by a DFA Mediator(s).
Submission of the referral form to DFA Mediation constitutes an agreement for DFA Mediation to approach parties and arrange the mediation at the fee agreed (usually by e-mail).
